Rethinking self-determination: colonial and relational geographies in Asia

All three scholars have worked on self-determination struggles in Asian postcolonial states. In this piece, they show how self-determination claims are relationally constituted across sites and scales, and argue for the importance of understanding ongoing colonialisms that does not fall neatly into the categories of either “salt-water” or “settler” colonialism.
