Between 11 and 17 November 2018, the Zürich team of the European Geography Association (EGEA), the Geographisch-Ethnologische Gesellschaft Zürich (GEGZ) and the GeoTeam (Fachverein Geographie & ESS) organized a series of events around the "Geography Awareness Week".
Muriel Côte gave in input on the "political ecology of plastic waste" to foreground the film screening and discussions around the film "Plastic Ocean".
The organisers subsequently received an award from the EGEA for "Best external cooperation" for all the activities they organized during that week. A summary of the events can be found in the December issue of the magazine "Geoscope".
