Hydrological models are used to plan water resources and predict extreme events such as floods or droughts. For the calibration of a hydrological model, calibration data from the catchment of interest are usually required. These are often missing. In this large-sample study, the value of limted data for hydrological modelling and regionalization will be tested for hundreds of catchments in the US, Brazil and Chile.
