The largest Geography Department in Switzerland is celebrating its 125th anniversary, and what amazing has it been! Research, teaching, service, comradery, and fun have characterized the department's life since its inception.
During this year of 2020, we will share with you a bit of history, ongoing activities from our units and their teaching, and GIUZ's vision for the future, through this blog and other formats. We will also feature alumni and professionals from academics and corporate world, what is the GIUZ and how did it become what it is. Let's celebrate the first 125 years and look forward to the next 125!
