There are still no effective treatments for Long Covid. Health geographer Maaret Jokela-Pansini has developed an innovative tool together with patients and shows how social sciences can deepen our understanding of the disease.
Age, gender and socio-economic factors play just as much a role in the experience of illness as environmental conditions, the healthcare system and social values. “When we think about health, we must always include space and time,” says Maaret Jokela-Pansini.
