The 17th Conference on Spatial Information Theory (COSIT2026) was held in York, UK, from September 22-25, 2026. Established in 1993, COSIT is a biennial international conference series concerned with theoretical aspects of space and spatial information. This year's COSIT was co-organized by the group leader of SCoPe Lab, Armand Kapaj.
SCoPe Lab presented the following work at COSIT 2026:
Armand Kapaj presented the paper "Feeling the heat? Heat stress impairs landmark but not route knowledge in a VR navigation task," co-authored by Alessandro J. Pierro, Sara I. Fabrikant, and Armand Kapaj. The work was conducted as part of the MSc thesis of Alessandro J. Pierro, co-supervised by Sara I. Fabrikant and Armand Kapaj. Armand Kapaj presented the poster "Flying with clarity: An eye-tracking study on the redesigned Swiss VFR aeronautical chart," co-authored by Simeon Lüthi, Tumasch Reichenbacher, and Armand Kapaj. The work was conducted as part of the MSc thesis of Simeon Lüthi, co-supervised by Tumasch Reichenbacher and Armand Kapaj.
Sergio Bazzurri joined the Doctoral Mentoring Programme, where he presented part of his PhD project.
