Your personal web page

Access

People with their name on the staff page should have access on lean.geo.uzh.ch to the page My Info > UZH Web Page. There you can enter and edit all information to appear on your personal page on geo.uzh.ch.
This access is generally assigned automatically based on a person's function. If you do not have access, but think you should, please contact your secretary or HR.

Sections

Regular sections are text paragraphs with a title. They can be displayed as either collapsed or open. Links and other formatting can be integrated in the paragraph text.

Publications

Publications can optionally be displayed as a separate section at the end. Like a regular section, they can be displayed as either collapsed or open.

ZORA author name

By entering a name in the format “Lastname,Firstname” all ZORA publications matching that name will be listed in the publications section.

ORCID

ORCID is an internationally recognized persistent identifier. The identification number links researchers directly to their publications and assigns them uniquely regardless of name changes, different spellings of the name or a change of institution.
University Library Zurich: ORCID

Publishing of your personal page

After every modification of information on your personal page, an automatic individual mini-export is triggered. Thus, any individual changes should appear publicly within approximately one minute.
No rule without exception: Drag & Drop reordering of sections does not automatically trigger an export.

All other pages maintained via lean.geo.uzh.ch (e.g. MSc thesis, staff list, etc) are updated at least once a night. In addition, secretaries, HR, and communications can trigger a full export at any time.

Important technical note: All text should be inserted unformatted – and be formatted only with the tools provided on lean.geo.uzh.ch
Shortcuts: Ctrl + Shift + V (Cmd + Shift + V on Mac) – it’s also called “keep text only” or “paste plain text”.
