Research
Franziska is an environmental geographer interested in human-space interactions. In her work, she develops environmental indicators related to (cultural) ecosystem services, nature's contributions to people, multifunctionality and landscape perception. She has developed skills in the social sciences, environmental sciences and digital humanities. She uses interdisciplinary methods including spatial analysis, participatory GIS, statistical analysis as well as the (computational) analysis of unstructured texts. She has also extensively engaged in qualitative research, including expert and stakeholder workshops, surveys and in-depth interviews.
