Remote Sensing of Water Systems

Welcome to the Remote Sensing of Water Systems (RSWS) group, a joint professorship between the University of Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, Eawag. Together with Earth System Science, Remote Sensing Spectroscopy and Spatial Genetics we make up the Remote Sensing Laboratories (RSL) which have a long and successful history in Zurich.

New SNSF Sinergia project

Exciting news! The Swiss National Science Foundation funds the Sinergia project Evaluating delta-wide changes in geogenic arsenic (As) contamination under anthropogenic pressures: An integrated approach to assess groundwater vulnerability in Vietnam (DeltAs). We are looking forward to interesting scientific activities with our partners from the Inorganic Environmental Geochemistry at ETH), the Stochastic Hydrogeology and Geostatistics group at University Neuchatel), and other national and international colleagues.

New publication

A new by Veronika Oehl and Alexander Damm. was published in Remote Sensing of Environment. The paper introduces "WAFER: A new method to retrieve sun-induced fluorescence based on spectral wavelet decompositions"
