I joined the Department of Geography in May 2023. I have a PhD in Environmental Science and Technology from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB) in Barcelona, Spain. My research focuses on plantations, pesticides, and waterscapes from an interdisciplinary perspective, integrating theoretical frameworks and methods from political ecology, critical agrarian studies, and tropical ecotoxicology. I am part of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)- funded research project "Making herbicide markets: Interactions between production restructuring, agriculture and environment in Latin America and Asia," which examines global production, trade, and use of pesticides, particularly the South-South dynamics between Latin America and Asia.
