Chenyu Zuo is a postdoctoral researcher in the Geographic Information Visualization and Analysis (GIVA) group at the Department of Geography, University of Zurich (UZH). She received her PhD in Cartography and Visual Analytics (2022) from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Sustainable Future Mobility, ETH Zurich (2023–2025). After that, she worked as a research and teaching associate at the Geoinformatics group at the University of Augsburg (2025–2026).

Her research focuses on designing map interfaces, including dashboards, storytelling maps, and augmented reality applications, that make complex socio-spatial systems easier to understand. She is also interested in human-subjects research, such as eye-tracking and think-aloud studies, to understand how people read, interpret, and interact with these interfaces.
