I enjoy interdisciplinary research with a critical lens. Currently, I work on socio-metabolic networks of global food production and trade.

My PhD project focused on the historical transformations in the economic geography and social metabolism of soybean production and trade as well as the discursive elements in current deliberation processes on environmental governance of the global soybean complex.

Previously, I have worked on climate change impacts on global precipitation patterns and I have experience in remote sensing, GIS, statistical programming and text-mining.
