I am an urban geographer holding a Bachelors in Geography from UZH and a 4CITIES Erasmus Mundus Masters in Urban Studies. I studied at universities in Zurich (UZH), Berlin (HU), Brussels (VUB & ULB), Vienna (Univie), Copenhagen (KU), and Madrid (UCM & UAM). Moreover, I have experience working in urban planning in Zurich.

My research interests lie at intersections of urban, housing, and migration studies. Specifically, I am interested in specific conditions of displaceability; in the emergence of housing discontent and its populist instrumentalizations; and in the possibility of developing and practicing hospitality towards newcomers in the city. My PhD project unifies these interests in a comparative research project based on fieldwork in Zurich and Geneva. The project is embedded in the larger Responsible City project, which is concerned with responses to housing controversies in the context of various socio-ecological crises in Swiss cities.
