About Minh
Anh Minh Vu is a PhD candidate in the Remote Sensing of Water Systems (RSWS) group at the University of Zurich (UZH). He holds a BSc in Water Resources Engineering from Thuyloi University, Vietnam, and an MSc in Integrated Water Resources Management from TH Köln, Germany. Since 2024, Minh has been pursuing his PhD research focused on the application of remote sensing in water-related studies. His current work focuses on investigating river sediment dynamics influenced by both natural processes and human activities, with the aim of improving the understanding of arsenic (As) contamination in Vietnam's river deltas. His PhD is part of the SNSF-funded DeltAs project.
What excites me most
Working at RSWS offers a unique opportunity to be part of an inspiring, international research environment surrounded by brilliant and supportive colleagues. It allows me to engage with cutting-edge technologies and emerging knowledge in addressing environmental and water-related challenges. This experience not only helps me grow as a young researcher but also equips me with the skills and insights to contribute to global environmental sustainability, especially in regions like my home country, where water-related challenges are complex.
